Jochen Müller

As Chief Operations Officer Air & Sea Logistics (COO Air & Sea Logistics), Jochen Müller plays a key strategic role in the company: he manages the daily operations of DACHSER's global air and ocean freight network and serves all the supply chains linking the main economic metropolitan centers around the world. As head of the Executive Unit Air & Sea Logistics (ASL), he is also the driving force behind the global focus of the Group, thus ensuring the continued global growth trajectory.

Linking global supply chains even more effectively

Under Jochen Müller's leadership, the continued expansion of DACHSER's global network of air and ocean freight hubs is planned in the coming years. In addition, his remit also encompasses the development of enhanced links between the intercontinental air and ocean freight network and the extensive road network throughout Europe, optimizing global supply chains
to give them a deep regional reach. As a logistics expert, Jochen Müller not only has the extensive experience of air and sea freight requiredfor this assignment, he is also familiar with the demands and processes involved in road freight.

Jochen Müller started his logistics career with a study program at Mannheim State Cooperative University. In addition to his training at Danzas, he spent six years with TNT Express, where his roles included customer service agent and product manager.

In 1994, Jochen Müller joined Schenker Deutschland, where he spent the majority of his time working in sales. In 2008, after posts in Germany, the UK and the USA, the company appointed him CEO of the Schenker subsidiary in the UK, where he successfully managed all its – Air, Sea, Road, Trade Fairs and Special Transport – divisions. In 2011, Jochen Müller was appointed to the Management Board of Schenker Deutschland AG. In this position he was responsible for air freight and air and sea sales in the Central Europe region, as well as logistics for worldwide relocations, trade fairs and sporting events.

 

Strategic projects for optimized global focus

Jochen Müller joined the DACHSER Group in October 2016, where his main area of focus is the development of strategic projects to further drive global orientation. On January 1, 2018, he was appointed Chief Operations Officer Air & Sea Logistics (COO Air & Sea Logistics).
